Abstract(s)
Introduction: Pregnancy is a period of major changes involving various systems such us nervous, urogenital, cardiovascular, respiratory and especially hormonal and musculoskeletal systems, during which about 50% of pregnant women experience pain and lumbar complaints. Objective: Verify the effects of Physical therapy intervention on gestational low back pain. Methods: Research with Keyword search in PubMed database to identify studies published in the last 5 years, randomized controlled, published in English and that evaluate the intervention of physical therapy in low back pain in pregnancy. We excluded studies in which there is coadjuvant treatment. Results: Four randomized controlled articles, with methodological classification of 6/10 on the PEDro scale, were identified, including 386 participants. Conclusion: In all studies, there was an improvement in the low back pain scores of the experimental groups compared to the control groups, however, given the small number of studies analyzed, more research should be done.
