Abstract(s)
Introduction: Veterinary physiotherapy is a body of physiotherapy that has received considerable attention from a clinical and scientific point of view. Several intervention modalities have been presented, demonstrating their effectiveness efficacy and contributing to the success of the animal rehabilitation process. Development: Modalities such as Thermotherapy, Electrotherapy, Massage, Hydrotherapy, Kinesiotherapy and complementary methods such as Acupuncture are means of intervention used jointly for the well-being and quality of life of the animal. There are also, in each modality, different techniques and maneuvers, which can be used in the intervention. The same ones affect different pathologies although they have as common objective the rehabilitation of the animal. Conclusion: Physiotherapy thus presents two possible fields of intervention, using the same principles, the same techniques, although adapted, for the rehabilitation and well-being of the patient.
