Este Projeto tem como foco analisar a distorção idade-série nas turmas de Ensino Fundamental especificamente no 6º Ano (sexto ano) na Escola Estadual Antônio Batista Belo de Carvalho. A mesma apresenta um alto quantitativo dessa problemática, tornando assim viável a aplicação de tal projeto para minimizar os entraves que surgem a partir da defasagem escolar, assim como o contexto da reflexão sobre o projeto ensino aprendizagem, atentando tanto para as características do professor como dos alunos, pois ambos são peças chaves para o sucesso escolar. A taxa de distorção idade-série atinge picos no 6º ano do ensino fundamental, e isso ocorre na maioria das vezes pelo excesso de aprovações no período de 1º ao 4º ano, permitindo ao aluno progredir nos estudos com dificuldades de leitura, escrita, interpretação de textos e operações matemáticas simples. As principais causas apontadas em pesquisas são a evasão e o abandono escolar, todavia existem causas primárias que contribuem para estas, e apesar de muitas vezes estarem intimamente ligadas à situação socioeconômica do aluno, isso nem sempre é fator determinante. Uma das principais consequências da distorção idade-série é o baixo desempenho dos alunos em atraso escolar quando comparados aos alunos regulares, o que pode ser evidenciado pelos resultados inferiores aos esperados nas avaliações nacionais do Ensino Fundamental.
This Project focuses on analyzing the age-grade distortion in the Elementary School classes specifically in the 6th Year (sixth grade) at the Antônio Batista Belo de Carvalho State School. The same presents a high quantitative of this problematic, thus making feasible the application of such a project to minimize the obstacles that arise from the school lag, as well as the context of the reflection about the project teaching teaching, paying attention both to the characteristics of the teacher and of the students as they are both key to school success. The age-grade distortion rate reaches peaks in the 6th year of elementary school, and this is most often due to the excess of approvals in the period from 1 to 4 years, allowing the student to progress in studies with difficulties in reading, writing, interpretation of texts and simple mathematical operations. The main causes pointed out in research are school dropout and dropout, however there are primary causes that contribute to them, and although they are often closely linked to the socioeconomic situation of the student, this is not always a determining factor. One of the main consequences of the age-grade distortion is the low performance of students in school backwardness when compared to regular students, which can be evidenced by the results lower than expected in the national assessments of Elementary School.
