Abstract(s)

This behavior follows the society for many years, and became even crime punished in several countries, which justifies the scientific interest and the relevance of the theme study in Criminology. The present project intends to propose awareness-raising actions aimed at children and young people so that new generations learn to respect and accept the sexual options of each. This work is divided as follows: a brief explanation of what are LGBT people and the concepts of lesbian, Gay, bisexual and Transsexual, then explained what are the LGBT movements and legislation that is in force in Portugal about these crimes and, finally, perform an analysis of the reports prepared by the Centre of discrimination of the Association ILGA-Portugal. In a second part we present a project that aims at the education of the younger population, through awareness-raising actions, so that in the future the crimes against LGBT people slow down.
