Abstract(s)
O presente projeto de graduação centra-se na discriminação face à orientação sexual das pessoas, saber o que é e como funciona a comunidade LGBTI (Lésbicas, Gays, Bissexuais, Transsexuais e Interssexuais) em Portugal e conhecer algumas das instituições de apoio a esta comunidade, propondo-se a realização de um estudo empírico quantitativo.
Assim, tem-se como objetivo principal a análise da discriminação face à orientação sexual, com base na revisão da literatura científica sobre o tema em análise.
Nesse sentido, e de modo a melhor contextualizar o tema, a parte teórica analisa aspetos como a comunidade LGBTI em Portugal, a sua evolução histórica e o desenvolvimento legislativo face à discriminação com base na orientação sexual das pessoas.
Embora não sendo uma condição necessária para o projeto, considerou-se interessante propor um pequeno estudo empírico quantitativo através da aplicação de um breve inquérito por questionário, concebido especificamente para a investigação, a uma amostra de conveniência.
Os resultados, não obstante todas as limitações inerentes a uma pesquisa com os contornos atrás indicados, poderão relevar aspetos de interesse não só para análise científica como também para refletir sobre a intervenção do criminólogo na área.
Em jeito de conclusão, procurar-se-á refletir sobre as potencialidades e limitações do estudo da temática, assim como pistas futuras para quem venha a dedicar-se ao tema de investigação analisado.
The current graduation project focuses on the discrimination against people’s sexual orientation, knowing how does the LGBTI community work in Portugal and getting to know some support institutions about the community, while proposing the realization of an empiric quantitative study. Therefore, the main focus is the analysis of the discrimination against sexual orientation, based on the revision of the scientific literature about the topic under analysis. In that sense, and in order to better contextualize the theme, the theoretical part analysis aspects such as the LGBTI community in Portugal, its historical evolution and the legislative development facing the discrimination based on the people’s sexual orientation. Although it’s not a necessary condition to the project, it’s been considered interesting to make a small empiric study through the application of a brief questionnaire survey, designed specifically for the investigation of a convenience sample. The non-obstructive results of the inherent limitations to a research with the contour previously indicated reveal interest aspects for the scientific analysis, as well as a reflection about the criminologist’s intervention in the field. In conclusion, there will be a reflection about the potentialities and limitations of the theme studied, as well as future clues to whoever will dedicate in the analyzed investigation theme.
