Abstract(s)

The objectives of this narrative literature review are to determine the etiological factors of Flare-up, identify the mechanical, chemical and microbiological causes as well as the predisposing factors of Flare-up, in order to prevent the occurrence of this phenomenon. The methodology of this study consisted on a bibliographical research in several scientific search engines database from December 2022 to August 2023. Bibliographical findings are contradictory. After an intense analysis, there are only few articles that address the theme “Prevention” since it is not possible to control all the variables. However, sample data were obtained which prove the effectiveness of certain interventions in reducing the incidence of the phenomenon under study.
