| dc.description.abstract | IntroduĆ§Ć£o: O edentulismo Ć© uma condiĆ§Ć£o patolĆ³gica que comporta diferentes problemas quer de ordem fĆsico quer social, pela inibiĆ§Ć£o de algumas funƧƵes essenciais. Na reabilitaĆ§Ć£o das edĆŖntulias mandibulares a Overdenture (OVD) sobre implantes representa um plano de tratamento vĆ”lido, sendo um bom compromisso entre reabilitaĆ§Ć£o fixa e removĆvel. Objetivo e Metodologia: realizar uma revisĆ£o bibliogrĆ”fica sobre as caracterĆsticas de prĆ³teses combinadas sobre implante na reabilitaĆ§Ć£o de mandĆbulas edĆŖntulas, tendo em conta o nĆŗmero de implantes adequados, fazendo uma anĆ”lise dos diferentes meios de retenĆ§Ć£o envolvidos neste sistema, analisando as relativas vantagens e eventuais limitaƧƵes, concluindo com uma comparaĆ§Ć£o com uma prĆ³tese total convencional. ConclusƵes: Uma OVD estabilizadas por dois implantes na zona entre os forĆ¢menes mentonianos, parece ser a melhor opĆ§Ć£o terapĆŖutica, para este tipo de reabilitaĆ§Ć£o, sem grandes diferenƧas sobre o sistema retentivo. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Introduction: Edentulism is a pathological condition that involves different problems, both physical and social, due to the inhibition of certain essential functions. In the rehabilitation of the mandibular edentulias the OVD on implants present a valid treatment plan, being a good compromise between fixed and mobile rehabilitation. Objective and methodology: making a bibliographic review on the characteristic of the combined protheses on the implant in the rehabilitation of mandibular edentulias, taking into account the number of implants adopted, analysing the different types of retentive attacks involved in this system, analysing the relative advantages and eventual limitations, concluding with a comparison with a conventional full denture. Conclusion: An overdenture stabilized by two implants in the intraforamic zone of the mandible seems to be the best therapeutic option for this type of rehabilitation, without large differences about the retentive system. | pt_PT |
