Abstract(s)
Objetivo: Avaliar a efetivadade da técnica de Dry Needling na dor e disfunção lombar em pacientes com lombalgia crónica. Metodologia: Seis bases de dados e um motor de busca académico (PubMed, SciELO, Lilacs, Web of Science, Cochrane Library e Google Académico) foram utilizados para efetuar a pesquisa. Incluíram-se estudos randomizados controlados ou clínicos, que analisem o efeito do dry needling na dor ou na funcionalidade de pessoas com dor lombar crónica. Resultados: A presente revisão de literatura inclui 7 artigos que respeitam os critérios de elegibilidade e apresentam uma pontuação média 6.71 tendo por base a avaliação da escala de qualidade metodológica PEDro. Esses 7 artigos utilizados abrangeram 249 participantes na amostra. Conclusão: Foi possível constatar que a técnica de dry needling, aparenta demonstrar-se efetiva quanto á redução de dor lombar, funcionalidade e aumento de mobilidade da coluna lombar.

Results: This literature review includes 7 articles that meet the inclusion criteria and present an average score of 6.71 on PEDro methodological quality scale. These 7 articles covered 249 participants in the sample. Conclusion: It was possible to verify that the dry needling technique appears to be effective in reducing pain and improve functionality and mobility of the lumbar spine.
