Abstract(s)
Introdução: após a Revolução Industrial um dos principais elementos a influenciar a estrutura das cidades é o modelo de mobilidade centrado no transporte motorizado individual, o qual se materializa no modelo de planeamento urbano. O desenvolvimento urbano, de forma sustentável, tem sido um tema muito estudado na contemporaneidade, principalmente, a partir da década de 90, com a realização de diversos eventos nacionais e internacionais com essa abordagem, como Meio Ambiente e Desenvolvimento Humano (1992); Direitos Humanos (1993); População e Desenvolvimento (1994); Pobreza e Desenvolvimento Social (1995); Assentamentos Urbanos na Habitat II (1996). O objetivo do presente estudo foi investigar para propor ações estratégicas que facilitem a conexão entre as Freguesias de Matosinhos e Leça da Palmeira, através da criação de percursos que visem a mobilidade urbana sustentável, ao envolver os transportes coletivos e individuais, além de criar espaços para o lazer e o convívio social nas proximidades do percurso do metro. Metodologia: foi realizada uma pesquisa de campo, sob a forma de observação direta e através da elaboração e análise da matriz SWOT e da matriz analítica e propositiva, assim como a consulta das cartografias e ortofotomapas existentes da área estudada. Elaborou-se uma proposta de mobilidade sustentável e revitalização de espaços ociosos, através de ações estratégicas, interligando as duas freguesias. O projeto proposto foi representado por diferentes formas gráficas, para fins de melhor compreensão. Resultados: após análise dos dados e da realidade existente na área estudada verificamos que há possibilidade de se desenvolver ações estratégicas com vistas a mobilidade sustentável, a facilitar o deslocamento e a aumentar o fluxo de pessoas. Na definição do percurso do metro foi nosso desígnio o de preservar, preservar e valorizar a identidade da malha urbana. Conclusões: a mobilidade envolve questões de ordem geográfica, económica, social e ambiental, e pode contribuir para o desenvolvimento sustentável de uma determinada região, assim como, promover a socialização entre os seus utilizadores.
Introduction: after the Industrial Revolution, one of the main elements influencing the structure of cities is the mobility model centred on individual motorized transport, which materializes in the urban planning model. Sustainable Urban Development is a frequent topic studied in contemporary times, especially since the 90's, with the production of several national and international events with this approach as Environment and Human Development (1992); Human Rights (1993); Population and Development (1994); Poverty and Social Development (1995); Urban Settlements in Habitat II (1996). The general objective of this study was to investigate and propose strategic actions, focused on the theme, for the Parishes of Matosinhos and, mainly, for the Parish of Leça da Palmeira, so that mobility is increased between these two localities, in a more sustainable way and to create spaces for leisure and social interaction in the vicinity of these routes. Methodology: field research was carried out, in the form of direct observation, elaboration and analysis of the SWOT matrix, analysis of the cartographies of the area, considered as an investigative and analytical phase. As a result of this phase, a proposal for sustainable mobility interconnecting the two Parishes and for the revitalization of idle spaces in their surroundings bordering the proposed routes was elaborated. The proposed project was represented by different graphic forms, for better understanding. Results: It was possible to verify in loco that there is a possibility of developing strategic actions with a view to Sustainable Urban Development in the studied area, facilitating access and increasing the flow of people to the Parish of Leça da Palmeira, contributing as a consequence, to its residents, workers and visitors regarding access. Conclusions: mobility involves geographic, economic, social and environmental issues, and can contribute to the sustainable development of a given region, as well as promote socialization among its users.
