La migración venezolana representa uno de los fenómenos de movilidad humana más importantes ocurridos en América Latina durante las últimas décadas. La crisis política, económica y social experimentada por Venezuela provocó la salida de millones de ciudadanos hacia diferentes países de la región, generando nuevos desafíos para los Estados receptores y las comunidades fronterizas.
El presente Proyecto de Graduación tiene como objetivo analizar los impactos sociales y demográficos generados por la migración venezolana en la ciudad fronteriza de Tulcán-Ecuador, así como examinar los principales desafíos relacionados con la gobernanza migratoria local.
La investigación adopta un enfoque cualitativo mediante un estudio de caso basado en revisión bibliográfica y análisis documental. Desde una perspectiva de Ciencias Políticas y Relaciones Internacionales, el estudio analiza la relación entre movilidad humana, fronteras, cooperación institucional y gestión migratoria.
Los resultados permiten identificar que Tulcán debido a su ubicación estratégica junto al Puente Internacional de Rumichaca, constituye un espacio clave para entender cómo los procesos migratorios internacionales generan transformaciones sociales, demográficas e institucionales a nivel local.

The political, economic and social crisis in Venezuela has caused millions of citizens to migrate to different countries in the region, creating new challenges for receiving states and border communities. This Graduation Project aims to analyze the social and demographic impacts generated by Venezuelan migration in the border city of Tulcán, Ecuador, as well as the main challenges associated with local migration governance. The research follows a qualitative approach through a case study based on bibliographic review and documentary analysis. From the perspective of Political Science and International Relations, this study examines the relationship between human mobility, borders, institutional cooperation and migration management. The findings show that Tulcán, due to its strategic location near the Rumichaca International Bridge, represents a key territory for understanding how international migration processes influence local communities.
