| dc.description.abstract | António Rodrigues Sampaio desempenhou um papel fundamental no jornalismo político do século XIX. Os seus jornais foram um veículo importante na transmissão dos seus ideais políticos, bem como reveladores das conjunturas jornalística e política da época. Assente numa pesquisa documental, bem como na análise discursiva dos exemplares do jornal, este estudo incidirá sobre o jornal clandestino O Eco de Santarém, cuja tumultuosa história, bem como o seu discurso, revela muito sobre a sua a visão empreendedora e aventureira. António Rodrigues de Sampaio played a key role in the nineteenth-century Portuguese political press. His papers were an important vehicle for his political ideals, unveiling, at the same time, both the political and journalistic circumstances of that time. Based on documental research, as well as on the papers’ discursive analysis, this study will focus on the clandestine paper O Eco de Santarém since its tumultuous story as well as its discourse are revealing of Sampaio’s entrepreneurial and adventurous vision. | por |
