Abstract(s)
A constante procura da juventude e o progresso quanto ao tempo traz consigo inúmeras
alterações da complexidade da vida humana. Quando se reflete sobre estas mudanças
idealizam-se um conjunto de alterações científicas e tecnológicas que influenciaram em
grande medida a vida humana. O desejo do ser humano em obter a juventude e de
prolongar a vida, são o motivo base para ocorrências de atos que desrespeitam a dignidade
humana.
O uso e abuso de meios intervencionais na vida humana têm vindo a surgir como
problemática na medida que influenciam a personalidade e a singularidade do ser
humano, generalizado e vulgarizando as decisões quanto a necessidades intervencionais,
sejam elas em áreas de saúde ou não. Esta problemática leva à necessidade de reflexão e
definição sobre o conceito de ‘cuidar’. Para melhor definição do que é correto, recorre-se
à Deontologia, guiando-se por documentos de apoio para respeitar a humanização nos
cuidados de saúde.
Este trabalho foi elaborado com o intuito de obter uma perspetiva holística sobre o
Testamento Vital e sobre o respeito pela autonomia de decisão do utente, reunindo
informação de vários autores sobre as suas perspetivas e procurando também reunir e
interpretar as diferentes opiniões/conhecimentos dos alunos de enfermagem do 4º ano da
Licenciatura em Enfermagem na Universidade Fernando Pessoa perante a aplicação do
Testamento Vital.
Trata-se assim de um estudo exploratório e descritivo inserido num paradigma
quantitativo. A informação foi recolhida e interpretada com base em questionários
distribuídos ‘online’ pelos alunos de enfermagem.
No geral, pela análise das respostas, os alunos apresentam um bom nível de conhecimento
e uma boa opinião em relação ao Testamento Vital.
The constant search of youth and progress on the time brings with it numerous changes on the complexity of human life. When we reflect on the intrinsic factors of these changes we envision a set of scientific and technological alterations that influenced largely human life. The desire of human to keep youth and prolong life, are the reasons for the occurrence of acts that violate the human dignity. The use and abuse of interventional means on the human life has come to be problematic in a way that it influences the personality and singularity of the human being, generalizing and making vulgar decisions about interventional means, being in the health department or not. This problem makes us need to reflex about the definition of “caring”. To better define what is right, we use deontology as a resource, guiding us by support documents to respect the humanization of health care. This work was elaborated with the intuition of obtaining a holistic perspective about this subject, gathering information about several authors and their perspective, will also looking to gather and interpret different opinions/knowledge about the nursing students of the 4th year of the Degree in nursing at the University of Fernando Pessoa, based on the application of the living will. It is thus an exploratory and descriptive study set in a quantitative paradigm. The information was gathered and interpreted based on questionnaires distributed 'online' by nursing students. In general, the responses of questions where analyzed and it demonstrates a good level of knowledge and a good opinion in regarding to the living will.
