Abstract(s)
Objetivo: sintetizar a evidência acerca do efeito da Electrólise Percutânea Intratecidular - EPI® em indivíduos com tendinopatia do rotuliano. Metodologia: a pesquisa foi realizada com o motor de pesquisa Google Scholar, sem limite temporal, incluindo os idiomas português, espanhol e inglês e utilizando a expressão: “Percutaneous electrolysis AND (patellar tendinopathy OR Jumper Knee)”, de modo a selecionar estudos experimentais que avaliassem o efeito da EPI® na tendinopatia do rotuliano. Resultados: 5 estudos cumpriram os critérios de elegibilidade definidos, tendo apresentado resultados para um total de 179 indivíduos. De forma geral, participantes sujeitos ao método da EPI® apresentaram uma melhoria significativa no que diz respeito ao parâmetro da funcionalidade e da dor. Conclusão: os estudos incluídos sugerem que a EPI® tem efeitos positivos no tratamento da tendinopatia do rotuliano, tanto ao nível da função como da dor.
