En este texto se aborda un breve recuento de la suerte de los libros escritos por venezolanos en el panorama editorial español como testimonio de que el país suramericano ha empezado a “dejar salir” la imaginación de sus creadores a conquistar nuevos territorios, y muestra que tanto la oferta literaria como la demanda lectora empiezan a concordar. Se muestran aquí los inicios del (nuevo) desembarco de las letras venezolanas en tierras españolas, tal como ocurrió a principios del siglo XX. La intención es mostrar sucintamente cómo la narrativa venezolana ha ido ocupando cada vez más espacio en los gustos de críticos y lectores españoles. This text gives a brief account of the reception of books written by Venezuelans in Spain´s publishing world as a testimony that this Latin American country has begun to “set free” its writers´ imagination for the conquering of new territories, it further illustrates how the literary offer and the readers’ demands have begun to coincide. It points to the beginnings of a (new) arrival of Venezuelan letters in Spain following the earlier one at the beginning of the 20th century. It intends to succinctly show how Venezuelan narrative has began to occupy more and more space in the tastes of Spanish critics and readers.
