Abstract(s)
Objective: This review intends to analyze the biomechanical changes of gait in transfemoral amputees regardless of the sample used. Methodology: Computerized research using the chosen keywords in databases such as Pubmed, Science Direct and EBSCO, limited between 2005 and 2017, selecting experimental articles that question the biomechanical changes of gait in transfemoral amputees. Results: We included 14 articles, with a total of 274 participants. The 7 cohort studies and the 7 case control studies were analyzed using the scale Critical Appraisal Skills Programme (CASP) scale. Conclusion: Studies have shown that transfemoral amputees present changes in gait symmetry and spatiotemporal parameters when compared to the control group.
