Abstract(s)
Objective: To determine the validity and concordance between different ways of assessing dorsiflexion amplitude during a closed kinetic chain mobility test. Methods: In order to respond to the proposed objectives, an observational, cross-sectional study was conducted in which the Modified Lunge Test was performed in a group of 48 participants. The dorsiflexion range of motion was assessed using a video system, a goniometer and an inclinometer placed 15 cm below the anterior tuberosity of the tibia (inclin @ TAT) and in the Achilles tendon. Results: Correlations between video analysis, goniometer and inlin @ TAT were high. The ICC values obtained ranged from low to good. The Bland-Altman analysis revealed absolute values of bias ranging from 1.99º to 10.10º, as well as broad agreement limits. Conclusion: Validity and agreement is most important between Video / Goniometer instruments, Video / Inclin @ TAT to assess the amplitude of dorsiflexion during a closed kinetic chain mobility test, the remainder have a low agreement.
