Este trabalho tem como propósito analisar a evolução do jornalismo em Portugal, desde a necessidade de informação até ao desenvolvimento do jornalismo cidadão e ao excesso de informação encontrado nas redes sociais.
Serão abordados casos específicos de notícias falsas no jornalismo televisivo português, com contribuição do jornalista cidadão, contudo, também serão apresentados exemplos em que o contributo do jornalismo cidadão foi essencial para o jornalista profissional conseguir transmitir a informação com exatidão.
The purpose of this work is to analyze the evolution of journalism in Portugal, from the need for information to the development of citizen journalism and the excess of infor-mation found on social media. Specific cases of fake news in portuguese television journalism, with contributions from citizen journalists, will be addressed. Another examples will also be presented in which the contribution of citizen journalism was essential for the professional journalist to ac-curately convey the information.
