Atualmente, a literacia em Portugal tem revelado um panorama negativo. O défice de leitura ocorre desde a infância até à população adulta.
Neste sentido, foi criado o Plano Nacional de Leitura (PNL) para elevar os níveis de literacia em Portugal para que fique ao nível dos parceiros europeus. O PNL é uma iniciativa do Governo da responsabilidade do Ministério da Educação e em articulação com o Ministério da Cultura e o Gabinete do Ministro dos Assuntos Parlamentares.
Vários estudos foram efetuados pelo Gabinete de Estatística e Planeamento a Educação com o intuito de haver um melhor entendimento sobre o fenómeno da leitura em Portugal e quais os passos a seguir para melhorar as competências nesta área.
Este trabalho pretende analisar a aplicação o Plano Regional de Leitura (PRL) nos Açores com turmas de recuperação de escolaridade – Oportunidade. Para tal, serão selecionadas três turmas do programa Oportunidade de uma escola da ilha de São Miguel. Pretende-se estudar a aplicação do PRL em alunos com dificuldades de aprendizagem.
O objetivo do estudo é compreender a relação entre a aplicação de estratégias diversificadas por parte do professor e os resultados obtidos com alunos com dificuldades de aprendizagem. Currently, literacy in Portugal has shown a negative outlook. The deficit for reading ranges from childhood to adult population.
Therefore, it was created the National Reading Plan (PNL) to raise literacy levels in order that Portugal gets to the level of the European partners. The PNL is an initiative of the Government and the responsibility is of the Ministry of Education and in coordination with the Ministry of Culture and the Office of the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs.
The Office of Statistics and Planning Education conducted several studies with the aim of having a better understanding of the phenomenon of reading in Portugal and what steps to follow to improve skills in this area.
This study aims to examine the implementation of the Regional Plan Reading in the Azores with recovery education classes - Opportunity. There will be selected three classes from the Oportunidade program in one school on the island of São Miguel. It is intended to study the application of reading plan in students with learning difficulties.
The study objective is to understand the relation between the application of diverse strategies by the teacher and the results with students learning difficulties.
