Abstract(s)
Introdução: A amputação afeta para sempre a vida, com profundas implicações na qualidade
de vida e autoestima. Objetivos: Aferir a qualidade de vida e autoestima de amputados de
membro inferior, assim como implicação do género, utilização de prótese e fisioterapia pré e
pós-cirúrgica. Metodologia : estudo observacional transversal, com amostra de 62 indivíduos
pertencentes à ANAMP. Questionário online, com questões de carácter sociodemográfico,
uma escala de qualidade de vida (WHOQOL-Bref) e de autoestima (Rosenberg). Resultados:
Amostra de 35 homens e 27 mulheres. Foi encontrada uma associação entre protetização e
género, e com o género e o fato de se sentirem diminuídos psicologicamente após amputação.
Na qualidade de vida, há diferença no domínio meio ambiente por género, e no domínio físico
entre os indivíduos que continuam ou não fisioterapia. Há diferença de autoestima entre os
que não fizeram fisioterapia antes e os que fizeram. Conclusão : A amostra apresenta níveis
elevados de qualidade de vida e média autoestima. Os homens têm um resultado maior no
domínio meio ambiente, indivíduos que não fizeram fisioterapia antes, têm uma maior
autoestima, e os que já pararam têm um maior score no domínio físico.
