Abstract(s)
This thesis mainly focused on the LGBT community aspect and their social identity crisis among community and society of Bangladesh. The basic research intends to assess contextual identity development and identify the problems faced by the LGBT community.The study has been carried out in the capital city Dhaka. This study surveyed general public support to cause and LGBT community members, which included 21 students. Participants were university students, 20 of which identify themselves as gay, lesbian, transgender bisexuals and 1 of the Participants was a Heterosexual who support LGBT Community.
It was adopted a qualitative and quantitative approach. Participants answered to a quessionaire presenting open and close questions about the study is that higher levels of education consider members of LGBT ommunity as normal people.
The study intends to contribute to the essential understanding of social identity crisis and contemporary issued in LGBT community as a subject and will emphasize on its importance in modern thinking towards the most neglected community. We hope that the outcome of the study constritute a positive contribute for all the stakeholders like –schools/college students and their staff, and for the organization of policy making and society as a whole. This study will help schools collage and organization to design the subject curriculum policies rules and governing laws, penalties of breaking the rules and all regarding acknowledges.
The assessment got resulted through this study, of which 20 participants met all type social exclusion and stigma.It is showing Bangladesh LGBT community and their problems to be considered less research on their rights. The study reveals that the homosexual population have difficulties to express their social identity as a result of various obstacles such as stigmatization, discrimination, legal, social, relagious, political norms imposed by Bangladesh. The discriminatory factors imply in human rights violations to sound social identity among LGBT community of Bangladesh.
