A Hipersensibilidade Dentinária é uma temática fundamental na saúde oral da atualidade.
No presente estudo faz-se uma reflexão sobre a perceção da população adulta acerca da Hipersensibilidade Dentinária, condição geral de saúde da amostra, hábitos parafuncionais, parâmetros com variação, prevalência, hábitos de higiene oral diários, bem como a relevância do papel e intervenção do farmacêutico.
Para tal, utilizou-se um questionário minuciosamente elaborado, levando em consideração os objetivos designados. Participaram neste estudo 91 indivíduos do Grande Porto.
Os resultados exibem notoriamente uma prevalência superior da Hipersensibilidade Dentinária nas mulheres, evidenciando-se igualmente que a sua ocorrência se enquadra numa determinada faixa etária delimitada; verifica-se adicionalmente que o papel do farmacêutico é fundamental na prevenção e abordagem clínica desta patologia.
Uma vez que a Hipersensibilidade Dentinária tem vindo a admitir avanços científicos, enquadrando-se numa das maiores dificuldades da odontologia, recomenda-se que continuem os estudos, especialmente no aprofundamento, esquematização e definição de metodologias de prevenção, diagnóstico e tratamento. Dentin hypersensitivity is a key theme in oral health currently.
This study it is a reflection on the perception of the adult about dentin hypersensitivity, general health condition of the sample, parafunctional habits, with varying parameters, prevalence, daily oral hygiene habits of the population, as well as the relevance and role of the pharmacist intervention.
To this end, we used a minutely designed questionnaire, assuming the designated targets. Participated in this study, 91 individuals of Grand OPorto.
The results show a remarkably higher prevalence of dentin hypersensitivity in women, evidencing also that fits their occurrence in one certain bounded age; it appears that the role the pharmaceutical is essential to the prevention of the pathology and clinical approach.
Once that dentin hypersensitivity has been to admit scientific advances, fitting into one of the greatest difficulties of dentistry, to continue his studies, especially in deepening, Layout and definition of methodologies for prevention, diagnosis and treatment is recommended.
