Abstract(s)
Nos dias de hoje, a violência doméstica é tido como um dos crimes mais complexos que existem dentro da nossa sociedade, um crime de natureza pública, que pode resultar em consequências severas nas vítimas e em outros agentes (crianças/jovens) que, de certa forma, estão direta ou indiretamente, expostas a este fenómeno. Neste sentido o presente projeto de graduação incidente sobre temáticas da exposição à violência na família enquanto importante fator de risco para a prática do crime de violência domestica na idade adulta, sobretudo no âmbito das relações de intimidade.
Tem, assim, como principal objetivo caracterizar as vivências/experiências familiares de indivíduos que foram julgados e condenados pelo crime de violência doméstica, procurando perceber se aquelas experiências poderão ter contribuído para a sua conduta criminal.
Para tal, foi desenvolvido um inquérito de autorrelato por questionário dirigido a indivíduos que foram julgados e condenados pela prática do crime de violência doméstica, de forma a melhor identificar e caracterizar a sua eventual exposição a situações de violência em contexto familiar.
Com base no estudo referido anteriormente, espera-se ser possível identificar se as experiências dos reclusos vivenciados na infância/juventude tiveram alguma influência na conduta criminal do indivíduo/a na fase adulta no que concerne às relações de intimidade ou conjugais.
Today, domestic violence is considered to be one of the most complex crimes within our society, a crime of a public nature, which can result in severe consequences for victims and others (children / youth) who directly or indirectly exposed to this phenomenon. In this sense, the present undergraduate project focuses on the themes of exposure to violence in the family as an important risk factor for the practice of the crime of domestic violence in adulthood, especially in the context of intimacy relations. Thus, the main objective is to characterize the experiences / family experiences of individuals who have been tried and convicted of the crime of domestic violence, trying to understand if those experiences may have contributed to their criminal behavior. For this purpose, a self-report questionnaire survey was conducted for individuals who were tried and convicted of domestic violence, in order to better identify and characterize their possible exposure to situations of violence in a family context. Based on the above study, it is expected to be possible to identify if the experiences of prisoners experienced in childhood had any influence on the criminal behavior of the individual in the adult phase regarding intimacy or conjugal relationships.
