Abstract(s)
Este projeto de trabalho teve por objetivo a realização de um estudo de campo sobre a
formação profissional do pessoal humanitário em situações de emergência e de catástrofe.
Para tal, foi elaborado um questionário e posteriormente enviado para organizações de cariz
humanitária. O questionário é composto por três secções e dizem respeito a matérias de
foro organizacional e pessoal, as quais abordam as seguintes temáticas: necessidades,
voluntários e formação. Após receção de cinquenta por cento de respostas foram efetuadas
análises detalhadas de cada temática. Os resultados finais são surpreendentes e confirmam a
necessidade de mudança no que respeita à prevenção dos riscos inerentes à função que
desempenham. Os objetivos que se pretende atingir com a divulgação dos resultados
obtidos são os seguintes: verifica-se pelo conteúdo das respostas que estes profissionais e
voluntários humanitários não possuem conhecimentos específicos dos riscos que correm ao
realizar tarefas que não são da sua área de trabalho e não são capazes de identificar os
riscos que correm no terreno, os quais podem afetar seriamente a sua saúde e a de todos os
elementos que os rodeiam.
This work project was aimed at conducting a field study on vocational training of humanitarian personnel in emergencies and disaster situations. A questionnaire was drawn up and subsequently sent to humanitarian organisations. The questionnaire consists of three sections and pertains to organizational and personnel matters, which address the following topics: needs, volunteers and training. After receipt of fifty percent of answers replies were conducted detailed analyses of each thematic. The final results are surprising and confirm the need for change with regard to the prevention of the risks inherent to the function they play. The aims to be achieved with the dissemination of the results obtained are as follows: it is verified by the content of the responses that humanitarian professionals and volunteers do not have specific knowledge of the risks they take when performing tasks that are not from their work area and are not able to identify the risks that they run in the field, which can seriously affect your health and all the elements surrounding them.
