dc.description.abstractO crime de Branqueamento de Capitais e a utilização dos provenientes ilícitos desse crime para o financiamento de atividade consideradas pela lei como terrorismo é cada vez mais recorrente tanto no nosso país como a nível mundial. Por essa razão, e no âmbito do Projeto de Graduação para a obtenção do Grau de Licenciatura do Curso de Criminologia, enquanto parte dos requisitos necessários, é realizado um estudo empírico relativo à eficácia ou não das ações de prevenção e combate ao Branqueamento de Capitais e Financiamento do Terrorismo por parte da Autoridade de Segurança Alimentar e Económica (ASAE). Ao longo da investigação surgem questões sobre a eficácia ou não de todas as normas e regulamentos que são tomados, quer a nível nacional quer a nível internacional para o combate a este crime, e por isso há um enquadramento teórico e legislativo, que é depois acompanhado da realização de um estudo empírico sobre tal. Surge a proposta da utilização de um método qualitativo. Este consiste numa entrevista semiestruturada com o intuito de apurar junto dos inspetores da ASAE (mais concretamente uma amostra de trinta inspetores), se as ações de prevenção são realmente eficazes e suficientes para o combate a este crime em Portugal, e se de facto serão necessárias alterações em algum âmbito específico para uma maior contribuição para o decréscimo deste crime que lesa a económica e finanças do nosso país.pt_PT
dc.description.abstractThe crime of Money Laundering and the use of illicit proceeds from that crime to finance activities considered by the law to be terrorism, is increasingly recurrent both in our country and worldwide. For this reason, and within the scope of the Graduation Project to obtain the Degree in Criminology, as part of the necessary requirements, an empirical study is carried out regarding the effectiveness or not of the actions to prevent and combat Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism by the Food and Economic Security Authority (ASAE). Throughout the investigation, questions arise about the effectiveness or not of all the rules and regulations that are taken, either at national or international level to combat this crime, and therefore there is a theoretical and legislative framework, which is then followed up conducting an empirical study on this. The proposal to use a qualitative method appears. This consists of a semi-structured interview with the aim of verifying with the ASAE inspectors (more specifically a sample of twenty inspectors), if the preventive actions are really effective and sufficient to combat this crime in Portugal, and if in fact they will be necessary changes in some specific areas for a greater contribution to the decrease of this crime that damages the economic and finances of our country.pt_PT
