| dc.description.abstract | O texto apresenta como hipótese o papel dos portugueses em Timor como intérpretes ou mediadores culturais, primeiro entre etnias e, após 1999, entre globalizações. No primeiro caso, os argumentos são a representação acerca da chegada dos portugueses, a inscrição dos mesmos nos rituais diárquicos, a constituição de um espaço-tampão/espaço- ponte e o estatuto social das línguas usadas (Tétum e Português). No segundo caso, os argumentos referem-se ao tipo de missão portuguesa pós-colonial, à desterritorialização de Portugal como estado-tampão/Estado-ponte e à relação entre o Português e o Tétum como línguas solidárias. No final, apresenta-se uma narrativa de tipo nacionalista, criada pós- (restauração da) independência (2002) que reflecte todos estes aspectos num fabuloso sincretismo pós-colonial. The article sustains the hypothesis that Portuguese in East Timor played a role of interpreters or cultural mediators between ethnicities and, after 1999, between globalizations. In the first case, the arguments are the representation of the arrival of Portuguese people, the latter inscription in diarquic rituals, the constitution of a buffer-space/bridge-space and the social status of the used languages (Portuguese and Tetum). In the second case, the arguments are the type of Portuguese post-colonial mission, the de-territorialization of Portugal as a buffer-State/bridge-State and the relationship between Portuguese and Tétum as solidarity-languages. The paper closes with the presentation of a nationalist narrative, imagined in a post-independence (2002) period which reflects all this aspects in a fabulous post-colonial syncretism. | por |
