Abstract(s)

This search was subjected to inclusion and exclusion criteria and of the 78 articles selected by title, 40 were selected by reading the full text. Results: Studies were compared regarding marginal space accuracy, operator preference, patient acceptance and effectiveness in terms of time, ease of assessing the quality of the final impression and ease of communication with the laboratory. Most studies showed equal or significantly superior results for digital impressions. Conclusion: The superiority of digital impressions over conventional impressions has been observed in the literature reviewed, but there are still some limitations that will be overcome in the coming years.
