Reaprendizagem motora e fisioterapia neurológica: revisão bibliográfica

Abstract(s)
Nos últimos anos verificou-se uma evolução no âmbito da reabilitação neurológica, com interesse crescente na compreensão de reaprendizagem motora, neuroplasticidade e recuperação funcional. Neste sentido, vários princípios e estratégias de tratamento têm sido estudadas e aplicadas no processo de reaprendizagem motora.
Com a realização desta revisão bibliográfica narrativa pretende-se aprofundar os conhecimentos resultantes de pesquisas relacionadas com a reaprendizagem motora do ser humano, que poderão contribuir para optimizar a intervenção dos fisioterapeutas no processo de recuperação funcional de pacientes com lesão central. Assim, foi efectuado um levantamento bibliográfico de artigos e livros de referência, escritos em português e inglês, compreendidos entre as datas de publicação de 1997 e 2011.
Desta investigação conclui-se que a reaprendizagem motora, compreendida por estratégias e programas de reabilitação neurológica, é um processo substancial para o sucesso da intervenção da fisioterapia em neurologia, uma vez que representa um papel fundamental na reorganização cerebral, que possibilita uma evolução mais significativa da recuperação funcional de pacientes com lesão do sistema nervoso central.
Recently there has been an evolution in the neurological rehabilitation context, with growing interest in understanding motor relearning, neuroplasticity and functional recovery. Aiming the process of motor relearning, several principles and treatment strategies have been studied and applied. In conducting this narrative literature review aims to deepen the knowledge resulting from research related to human motor relearning, which may help to optimize the involvement of physiotherapists in the process of functional recovery of patients with central lesions. Thus, there was research review of articles and reference books, written in Portuguese and English, of between publication dates of 1997 and 2011. This investigation concludes that the motor relearning, comprised of strategies and neurological rehabilitation is a process substantially to the success of the intervention of physiotherapy in neurology, as it represents a fundamental role in brain reorganization, which allows a more significant developments functional recovery of patients with central nervous system injury.
