A eficácia da drenagem linfática manual e comparação da mesma a outras técnicas de intervenção, no tratamento do linfedema pós cancro da mama

Abstract(s)
Objetivo: Foi o de analisar a eficácia da Drenagem Linfática Manual e comparar esta técnica com outros métodos de intervenção no tratamento do linfedema pós-mastectomia, com o propósito de reduzir o volume excessivo do mesmo. Metodologia: pesquisa computorizada tendo em conta as bases de dados/motores de busca: EBSCO (MEDLINE with full text; CINAHL) e PEDro. Resultados: Nesta revisão, 5 artigos foram observados e incluídos, contendo 241 participantes, sendo que todos os estudos abordam a drenagem linfática manual no tratamento do Linfedema após cancro da mama, com a finalidade de reduzir o volume do mesmo. Conclusão: consideramos que a aplicação apenas da DLM não é consensual, pois só um dos estudos analisados demonstra claramente a eficácia da DLM comparativamente a outras técnicas. Não é portanto escolhida como procedimento primário no tratamento do Linfedema. Importa ainda salientar que esta não é nunca aplicada como única técnica isolada, mas pelo contrário sempre como adjuvante de outras técnicas.
