| Abstract: | O artigo expõe, em linhas gerais, as dinâmicas de crescimento do Porto e de Gaia no tempo e releva a função do Rio Douro como elemento físico, simultaneamente, de separação e de união dos dois territórios. The article displays, in general lines, the dynamic of growth of Porto and Gaia throughout time and foregrounds the function of the Douro River as physical element, of both separation and union of the two territories. |
