Abstract(s)
OBJECTIVES: Evaluate the importance of performing a Glide Path for the sucess of endodontic treatment and to compare the manual technique with the mechanized technique. Besides that, I also explored some of the many instrumentation systems available on the market with the purpose of comparing their efficiency. METHODS: Bibliographic search of articles published in the following databases: PubMed and B-On. Search terms, inclusion and exclusion criteria for the selection of articles were defined. In total, 28 articles were included for this review. MAIN TOPIC COVERED: It is estimated that the sucess rate of endodontic treatment is 90 to 95%. Performing a Glide Path increases the reliability of these values as it prevents numerous instrumentation errors.
