| dc.description.abstract | A intervenção clínica face a lesões de cáries profundas pela técnica de curetagem parcial permite salvaguardar o máximo de estrutura dentária, e tem ainda como objetivo manter a vitalidade pulpar do dente. É importante determinar através da história clínica o grau de afetação pulpar, permitindo prever a reversibilidade das lesões profundas e a capacidade reparativa das estruturas dentárias. Mediante essa resolução, pode evitar-se a remoção total da cárie e optar pela remoção parcial ou pela técnica Stepwise excavation em duas sessões. Ambas as técnicas têm bons resultados clínicos. Os insucessos têm a ver com o selamento incorreto da lesão ao meio oral, seja pela incapacidade técnica do médico dentista, seja pelas propriedades dos materiais que podem não ser ideais. Esta técnica depende também da vontade do paciente, pelo que ele pode não cumprir com o tratamento, pondo em causa todo o seu sucesso. A remoção da quantidade correta de dentina infetada, e a utilização dos materiais como o MTA, o Ionómero de vidro e o Biodentine® dão garantias de manutenção da vitalidade com o máximo de conservação de estrutura dentária. Com este trabalho de revisão bibliográfica, efetuada com base nos estudos publicados na Medline, PubMed, B-on, pretendeu-se reunir a informação mais recente sobre esta temática tão útil na futura vida clínica. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Clinical intervention on deep dental caries with partial excavation technique can save the maximum of dental structure and aims to maintain the tooth’s pulp vitality. Determining the degree of pulp infection with the clinical history is essential to enable the reversibility of the deep lesions and the reparative capacity of dental structures. This resolution enables to perform a partial removal or Stepwise Excavation technique in two sessions, instead of a complete carie removal. Both techniques have good clinical results. The failures have to do with incorrect sealing of the lesion from the oral cavity, because of the dentist’s technical incapacity, or due to the properties of the materials that can be unideal. This technique depends on the patient’s will, so he may not comply with the treatment, risking the success of the treatment. The removal of correct quantity of infected dentin and the use of materials like MTA, glass ionomer and Biodentine® ensure the manutention of the vitality with the maximum of dental structure conservation. With this bibliographic review study, based on the studies published in Medline, PubMed, Be-on, it was intended to gather the latest informations about this topic, so useful in the future clinical life. | pt_PT |
