Abstract(s)
alguém dentro do Estabelecimento Prisional.
The present study carried out within the scope of the 2nd cycle of studies of Psychology Master of Justice, aims firstly the sociodemographic characterization of a sample of 100 inmates, where we investigate their family dynamics, the history of aggressive behaviors, personal characteristics of individuals, among others, to understand the reasons that lead young people to have increasing aggressive behaviors. After this characterization, a comparison was made between recidivist and nonrecidivist individuals, and individuals who committed violent infractions, with those who committed other infractions, to try to understand if the risk factors were present and which group showed more. At first, we try to understand if their experience of life and family dynamics has influence in this kind of behavior, since they are individuals with some aggressive history, and its typology of crime also bears aggressiveness towards the other. Secondly, we focus on aggressive behavior within the Prison, trying to find out the reasons for the occurrence of violence in prisons, from the point of view of inmates themselves, that is, why these situations occur on a regular basis, in the perception of the prisoners themselves. In this sense, an interview was carried out with 15 inmates in order to identify the reasons for them lead to violent demonstrations inside the Prison and if they had that kind of behavior and why. The study was carried out at the Prison Custody Institution, where the sample collected took into account the type of crime committed and the disciplinary infractions committed by them within the institution, that is, if they had already assaulted someone inside the Prison Establishment.
