Abstract(s)
Este Projeto de Graduação aborda a Gestão de Investimentos em Tempos de Incerteza, dando especial atenção aos riscos decorrentes dos investimentos financeiros e às estratégias que podemos implementar para os mitigar. Numa primeira parte, na análise teórica, serão explorados temas relevantes para esta temática, começando por definir o investimento e a incerteza, bem como os principais perfis de investidores. De seguida, é estudado o risco, distinguindo-o de incerteza, e indicando os tipos de risco inerentes aos investimentos financeiros. Posteriormente, é abordada a gestão de investimentos e os fatores que a influenciam. Numa segunda parte, na análise prática, dá-se a exemplificação de três casos relativamente recentes que sustentam a temática em análise – as tarifas alfandegárias anunciadas por Donald Trump em 2025, demonstrando o impacto de algumas medidas, neste caso, no mercado de ações americano; a guerra na Ucrânia e de que forma afetou o mercado dos cereais; e, por último, a Grande Recessão que se iniciou nos EUA, mas que trouxe graves consequências para o mundo, inclusive a Portugal.
This Graduation Project addresses Investment Management in Times of Uncertainty, paying special attention to the risks arising from financial investments and the strategies we can implement to mitigate them. In the first part, the theoretical analysis, topics relevant to this theme will be explored, beginning with a definition of investment and uncertainty, as well as the main investor profiles. Next, risk is studied, distinguishing it from uncertainty and indicating the types of risk inherent in financial investments. Subsequently, investment management and the factors that influence it will be addressed. In the second part, the practical analysis, the concepts studied previously will be illustrated with three relatively recent cases that support the topic under analysis - the customs tariffs announced by Donald Trump in 2025, demonstrating the impact of some measures, in this case on the American stock market; the war in Ukraine and how it affected the grain market; and, finally, the Great Recession that began in the US but had serious consequences for the world, including Portugal.
