Introduction: OFG is a condition that shows an increase of the orofacial volume along with granulomatous inflammation without any evidence of systemic disease, it was described for the first time from Wiesenfeld in 1985. In order to understand in a better way this autoimmune disease, still very undiscovered nowadays, it was done a general analyzation of autoimmune disease and following of the autoimmune disease with higher implication with oral tissues, such as: Lichen Planus or Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. Objective and methodology: To analyze actual knowledge about OFG in comparation with other autoimmune diseases, identify the most common clinic manifestations, how to make a correct diagnostic and identify the best treatment. Conclusions: As far as we know the knowledge about OFG is still very little, it wasn’t find a concrete cause yet, the diagnostic is still based on a differential diagnostic with other illness that may cause a similar clinical picture and the treatment has as aim the minimization of the symptoms.
