As facetas de cerâmica são frequentemente aconselhadas para restaurações de dentes anteriores. Elas constituem um método conservador para melhorar a aparência estética e/ou funcional.
As facetas de cerâmica podem modificar diferentes anormalidades dentárias, morfológicas, discromias dentárias, distopias e anomalias de textura.
Esta revisão narrativa compara diferentes tipos de preparações dentárias: Window, Feather incisal edge, Incisal bevel e Incisal overlap, descrevendo as vantagens e desvantagens, indicações e contraindicações e faz um breve resumo dos matériais cerâmicos que são utilizados para a confeção das facetas.
O objetivo desta pesquisa científica é cruzar as diferentes informações sobre os tipos de preparos dentárias, a fim de compreender as suas especificidades, indicações e implementações.
A pesquisa bibliográfica foi realizada através dos motores de busca: PubMed, B-On, ScienceDirect, Medline e Google Scholar.

Ceramic veneers can modify different dental abnormalities, morphological abnormalities; dental dyschromias; dystopias and texture anomalies.
