Abstract(s)
Kelly's syndrome is characterized by a set of clinical signs/symptoms associated with a complete maxillary denture with lower anterior teeth. These classic features include loss of bone support in the maxillary anterior region, fibrous growth of the maxillary tuberosity, papillary hyperplasia of the hard palate, fibromucosal tissues of the anterior region, extrusion of the mandibular anterior teeth, and bone loss under the mandibular partial denture base. The objective of this work is to present the rehabilitation with removable prostheses of a patient with Kelly syndrome and to deepen the pathophysiology of the disease for a correct diagnosis, discussing possible treatment plans, based on a review of the integrative literature on the subject. The oral rehabilitation of a complex clinical case of Kelly syndrome is described through clinical information collected in the Prosthodontics appointments carried out at the Pedagogical Dental Medicine Clinics of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Fernando Pessoa University.
