Abstract(s)
Com o aumento de doenças cada vez mais mortais, em que a medicina em fases mais avançadas nada consegue fazer para a retardar, temos que começar a perceber o que podemos fazer com estas pessoas, para que os dias não se tornem num inferno, mas que se torne em algo pelo menos agradável para que possam morrer com dignidade.
Foi a pensar nestas pessoas, em que tudo o que foi possível fazer, já foi feito…. É aqui que entra a nossa parte, a parte de cuidar até ao fim, possibilitando a melhor qualidade de vida ao doente, prestando sempre o nosso apoio, atenção, carinho, e mesmo o nosso ombro.
Morrer, sem dor…. Acrescentar qualidade aos dias deles, para que sintam que são amados, e que o seu percurso por mais curto que tenha sido, tenha valido para alguma coisa…
Para que não sintam desamparo na hora da morte, estamos aqui nós, uma equipa multidisciplinar que faz tudo por tudo por estas pessoas.
Este projecto tem como funcionalidade perceber qual o conhecimento que a população tem acerca dos Cuidados Paliativos.
Para tal, para a sua realização foi necessária a colaboração da população que se encontrava no concelho de Ponte de Lima, aquando da aplicação do questionário.
With the increase of deadly diseases, about which medicine can do nothing in later stages, we must begin to realize what we can do for these people, so that their days don't become hell, but something enjoyable, allowing them at least to die with dignity. It was thinking about these people, that all that was possible has been done. This is when we get into action, caring until the end, allowing the best quality of life for the patient, always giving our support, attention, affection and even our shoulder. Dying without pain adds quality to their days so they can feel that they are loved and that their journey, no matter how short it was, was worth something so they don’t feel helpless in the hour of death, we are here, a multidisciplinary team that does everything for those people. This project has the functionality to know which knowledge people have about the concept of Palliative Care. To accomplish this project it was necessary the assistance of the population of Ponte de Lima in answering the questionnaire.
