Abstract(s)
do Tratamento Endodôntico.
No
Introduction: Diabetes Mellitus represents one of the most metabolic diseases of today, and it’s characterized by excess glucose in the blood. In recent years, it has been associated with apical periodontitis, thus leading to the failure of Endodontic Treatment. Objective: The objective of this work is to evaluate the possibility of a change in the prognosis of Non-Surgical Endodontic Treatment in patients with Diabetes Mellitus. Materials and Methods: A research was developed between March 2020 and August 2020, using the electronic database PubMed, with a time limit of 14 years. Conclusion: Further studies are still necessary to prove this association. However, Diabetes must be recognized as an important preoperative prognostic factor in Endodontic Treatment.
