| dc.description.abstract | O objetivo deste trabalho é procurar as interligações entre a postura e a posição mandibular. Foi analisada a literatura disponível em diferentes bases de dados com o recurso complementar de livros de anatomia, fisiologia e osteopatia. Os sistemas moduladores da postura são múltiplos, entre os quais se encontra o sistema estomatognático (SEG). O SEG, por ter relações diretas com os outros sistemas moduladores da postura e por alterar diretamente o equilíbrio do corpo, tem um papel de grande importância no tratamento de patologias posturais. Uma alteração da posição mandibular altera a morfologia crânio-cervical, que por sua vez afeta toda a coluna vertebral. As alterações são encontradas até aos membros inferiores. O tratamento de patologias do sistema estomatognático é essencial para um bom controle postural, bem como uma boa postura è essencial para um correto desenvolvimento esquelético da face. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study is to search for the interconnections between posture and the mandibular position. The available literature was analyzed throught several search platforms with the complementary use of anatomy, physiology and osteopathy books. There are several systems that control posture, among which there is the stomatognatic system. The stomatognatic system plays a very important role in the cure for postural pathologies since it has direct projections to other regulating systems and since it alters directly the balance of the body. A change in position of the mandible may change the cranio-cervical morphology and affect the entire spine. Alterations are found also to the lower limbs. The treatment of pathologies of the stomatognatic system is crucial for a good postural control, as well as a good posture is crucial for a correct skeletal development of the face. | pt_PT |
