Abstract(s)
O Islão e as comunidades de imigrantes provenientes do Norte de África instaladas
em Andaluzia (Espanha) não conformam um facto social uniforme e
estático, antes apresentam uma grande variedade de manifestações, aparecendo
como um facto social dinâmico, diverso e complexo. A identidade islâmica,
neste caso, revela-se como um dos referentes mais úteis ao imigrante magrebino,
enquanto lhe proporciona, tanto uma estrutura organizativa própria e diferenciada,
como um modelo simbólico-identificativo e um sistema de disposições
cognitivas e de representações que permitem ao imigrante adequar-se à
vida na sociedade de acolhimento.
The Islam and the immigrant communities from the North of Africa installed in
Andaluzia (Spain) are not an uniform and static social fact, on the contrary they
present a variety of manifestations, appearing as a dynamic, diverse and complex
social fact. The Islamic identity, in this case, reveals itself as one of the most
useful referents to the magrebin immigrant, while it proportionate, an own and
differentiated organizative structure, as well as a symbolic-identificative model
as a cognitive disposition system and of representations that allow the immigrant
to adapt to live in the receiving society.
