| dc.description.abstract | A violência nas relações de intimidade (VRI) é definida como a ocorrência de várias formas de violência (física, psicológica, sexual) entre parceiros íntimos, atuais ou não, causando danos e lesões à vítima. As crianças que crescem em ambientes violentos apresentam um risco aumentado de desenvolver sintomas de trauma duradouros, que podem afetar também as futuras gerações. Quando expostas à violência familiar, essas crianças tendem a experienciar hiperexcitação, uma tensão psicológica e fisiológica intensificada, o que as torna vulneráveis a problemas de internalização e sintomas de trauma persistentes ao longo da vida. Este projeto visa compreender se crianças que demonstram comportamentos violentos no contexto escolar têm maior probabilidade de se tornarem agressores em relações íntimas. O trabalho organiza-se em duas partes. A primeira apresenta uma revisão teórica sobre VRI e suas consequências para as vítimas e a exposição das crianças à mesma. A segunda aborda a metodologia, baseada num questionário quantitativo e de natureza descritivo-correlacional, com o objetivo de avaliar se crianças violentas tendem a desenvolver comportamentos agressivos em contextos íntimos, explorar a capacidade dos professores para identificar tais comportamentos e examinar as ações adotadas pelos professores ao identificarem atitudes agressivas. Espera-se que os resultados evidenciem a importância do papel dos professores em reconhecer e intervir, em colaboração com a comunidade, diante de potenciais agressores de VRI, considerando-o um fenómeno complexo que afeta todo o tecido social. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Intimate partner violence (IPV) is defined as the occurrence of various forms of violence (physical, psychological, sexual) between intimate partners, current or not, causing harm and injury to the victim. Children who grow up in violent environments have an increased risk of developing long-lasting trauma symptoms, which can also affect future generations. When exposed to family violence, these children tend to experience hyperexcitation, intensified psychological and physiological tension, which makes them vulnerable to internalization problems and persistent trauma symptoms throughout their lives. This project aims to understand whether children who demonstrate violent behavior in the school context are more likely to become aggressors in intimate relationships. The work is organized into two parts. The first presents a theoretical review of IPV and its consequences for victims and children's exposure to it. The second deals with the methodology, based on a quantitative questionnaire of a descriptive-correlational nature, with the aim of assessing whether violent children tend to develop aggressive behaviors in intimate contexts, exploring teachers' ability to identify such behaviors, and examining the actions taken by teachers when identifying aggressive attitudes. It is hoped that the results will highlight the importance of the role of teachers in recognizing and intervening, in collaboration with the community, in the face of potential perpetrators of IPV, considering it a complex phenomenon that affects the entire social fabric. | pt_PT |
