Mediação escolar entre pares: uma proposta de intervenção

Abstract(s)
O presente Projecto de Investigação debruça-se sobre a mediação escolar entre pares, sendo apresentado à Faculdade de Ciências Humanas e Sociais da Universidade Fernando Pessoa como parte dos requisitos para a obtenção do grau de licenciado em Criminologia, sob a Orientação do Professor Doutor Pedro Cunha.
O projecto que aqui se apresenta tem como objetivo poder ser aplicado numa escola pública ou privada, de modo a fomentar uma cultura de paz entre os alunos e atenuar ou gerir através da mediação, os conflitos que possam surgir, dotando os estudantes de ferramentas e formação necessários para que possam, pelos seus próprios meios resolver os conflitos que inevitavelmente surgem no meio escolar.
A escolha do tema de mediação escolar, não surgiu ao acaso, sendo que este projecto advém de uma reunião com a antiga Juíza de Paz Dra. Dulce Nascimento, da Instituição dos Julgado de Paz de Santa Maria da Feira, onde a mesma realizou um trabalho sobre mediação escolar no mesmo concelho sendo que trata-se de uma área pouco explorada em Portugal, mas com um imenso potencial para os alunos.
A área da mediação escolar visa uma intervenção, numa escola, dirigido a alunos, pais, professores e demais colaboradores da escola, apesar de este projecto apenas complementar os alunos, o mesmo pode ser alargado e alterado de modo a abranger as outras partes, sendo um projecto de âmbito escolar e que não exclui ninguém.
Este projecto complementa a experiência de estágio académico realizado na Instituição "Julgado de Paz de Santa Maria da Feira", nomeadamente através da observação de mediações na qual as mesmas permitiram uma reflexão mais aprofundada sobre a área da gestão construtiva de conflitos, designadamente sobre as formas alternativas e assertivas de os resolver pacificamente e sem recurso à violência e agressividade.
Assim, pretende-se juntar a aprendizagem na instituição através do estágio realizado, com a aprendizagem adquirida em sala de aula, através da licenciatura e disponibilizar algo credível e que pode beneficiar os intervenientes num desenvolvimento pessoal mais sociável e com valores de estar mais próximo do outro, estando mais atento ao meio que nos rodeia.
This research project focuses on school peer mediation, being presented to the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University Fernando Pessoa as part of the requirements for obtaining the degree in Criminology, under the guidance of Professor Pedro Cunha. The project presented here aims can be applied in a public or private school , in order to foster a culture of peace among students and to mitigate or manage through mediation , conflicts that may arise , giving students the tools and training necessary so that they can , by their own means to resolve conflicts that inevitably arise in the school environment . The theme of school mediation, did not arise by chance, and this project comes from a meeting with the former Judge of Peace Dr. Dulce Nascimento, the Institution of Justice of the Peace of Santa Maria da Feira, where it held a job on school mediation in the same county and that it is a little explored area in Portugal, but with a huge potential for students. The area of school mediation seeks an intervention , a school , addressed to students, parents , teachers and other school employees , though this project only complement the students , it can be extended and modified to cover other parts, a project of the school and that does not exclude anyone . This project complements the internship experience conducted in the academic institution “Justice of the Peace of Santa Maria da Feira," particularly through observation of mediations in which the same allowed a deeper reflection on the area of constructive management of conflict, particularly on ways and assertive alternatives to resolve them peacefully and without resorting to violence and aggression. We intend to join in the learning institution through training camp with the learning acquired in the classroom, through graduation and provide credible and something that can benefit those involved in personal development more sociable and values to be closer to another, being more attentive to our surroundings.
