| dc.description.abstract | Abordando as áreas da Medicina Dentária Generalista, pretendeu-se realizar um estudo transversal, tentando perceber em que áreas os Médicos Dentistas e Médicos Estomatologistas se sentem menos preparados, quais as dificuldades e/ou erros mais comuns assumidos, se é feita uma actualização contínua do conhecimento e de formação e quais os aspectos de natureza científica e profissional em que é fulcral melhorar para optimizar a qualidade dos serviços prestados. Nesta investigação foram incluídos 100 Médicos Dentistas ou Estomatologistas que responderam a um questionário constituído por 49 perguntas, onde são abordados assuntos relativos à história clínica do paciente, a medidas de protecção no consultório dentário, e a áreas específicas da Medicina Dentária, designadamente de Dentística, de Periodontia, de Endodontia, de Cirurgia e de Prótese. Desse levantamento, algumas dificuldades, erros e situações de negligência foram verificadas na prestação dos serviços e postura dos profissionais de MD. Depois de comparados os resultados dos participantes formados em 3 Universidades distintas, poucas diferenças estatisticamente significativas há a registar. The accomplishment of this transversal study intends to cover the areas of Generalist Dentistry, trying to understand the areas that are less prepared by Dentists and Stomatologists, the difficulties and/or errors alleged as most common, the continuous update of knowledge and training and which aspects, of scientific and professional nature, are the most important to improve and optimize the quality of services offered. 100 Dentists and Stomatologists were included in this investigation that responded to a questionnaire constituted by 49 questions, involving subjects related to the historical clinic of the patient, protection measures in the dental office, and other details in the some areas of Dentistry, as Periodontics, Endodontics, Surgery and Prosthodontics. Some difficulties, errors and negligence situations were verified in the performance and posture of Dentists. Results of graduated professionals, in 3 distinct Universities, were compared and no significant statistical differences were found between them. | por |
