| dc.description.abstract | Se é certo que raramente temos dificuldades na obtenção de uma anestesia clínicamente aceitável na maxila, o mesmo não se verifica a nível da mandíbula do adulto. Taxas de sucesso de 80 a 85% para o bloqueio convencional do nervo alveolar inferior, a injeção mandibular mais frequentemente utilizada, são um indicativo dessa situação. Torna-se, assim, de suma importância que o médico dentista tenha conhecimento sobre outras técnicas disponíveis para a realização da anestesia mandibular, de forma a poder aplicá-las sempre que a situação o exija. Este trabalho tem como objetivo reunir informações científicas sobre diversas técnicas de anestesia mandibular, que podem ser alternativas ao bloqueio convencional do nervo alveolar inferior. A metodologia usada assenta numa revisão bibliográfica narrativa, baseada na análise de publicações encontradas nas bases de dados electrónicas Pubmed, Scielo e Google Scholar. Foi efetuada uma leitura exploratória, seletiva e interpretativa do material pesquisado. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | If it is true that we rarely have difficulties in obtaining a clinically acceptable anesthesia in the maxilla, the same is not true of the adult's mandible. Success rates of 80 to 85% for conventional lower alveolar nerve block, the most frequently used mandibular injection, are indicative of this situation. It is, therefore, of paramount importance that the dentist has knowledge of other techniques available for performing mandibular anesthesia, in order to be able to apply them whenever the situation requires it. This work aims to gather scientific information on various techniques of mandibular anesthesia, which can be alternatives to conventional lower alveolar nerve block. The methodology used is based on a narrative bibliographic review, based on the analysis of publications found in the electronic databases Pubmed, Scielo e Google Scholar. An exploratory, selective and interpretive reading of the researched material was carried out. | pt_PT |
