| dc.description.abstract | As infeções fúngicas da pele estão entre as infeções mais comuns no Homem e têm vindo a tornar-se um problema de saúde pública, devido à possibilidade de causarem infeções invasivas em pacientes imunodeprimidos, tornando-se numa das principais causas de morte. Micoses é o nome dado a estas infeções fúngicas superficiais e de acordo com o local da infeção são-lhes atribuídas designações específicas. São causadas na sua grande maioria por fungos dermatófitos, sendo classificados em três géneros: Epidermophyton sp., Trichophyton sp. e Microsporum sp.. Podem afetar a pele, o cabelo e as unhas. O tratamento destas patologias é dificultado pela falta de adesão ao tratamento por parte do paciente, pelas interações medicamentosas, os seus efeitos adversos e pela resistência que oferecem aos antifúngicos. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Fungal infections of the skin are among the most common infections in man and have become a public health problem due to the possibility of causing invasive infections in immunocompromised patients, becoming a leading cause of death. Mycoses is the name given to these superficial fungal infections and according to the site of the infection specific names are assigned. They are caused mainly by dermatophyte fungi, being classified in three genera: Epidermophyton sp., Trichophyton sp. and Microsporum sp.. They can affect the skin, hair and nails. The treatment of these pathologies is difficult by the lack of acceptance to the treatment by the patient, the drug interactions, their adverse effects and the resistance that they offer to the antifungals. | pt_PT |
