Consumo de pornografia online: uma discussão a partir das experiências de jovens e adultos/as portugueses/as

O presente estudo, qualitativo, explora e descreve as experiências de consumo de pornografia online por parte de jovens adultos/as portugueses/as envolvidos numa relação afetiva. Foram realizadas entrevistas online, semiestruturadas, a 10 pessoas com idades compreendidas entre os 19 e 44 anos. Os discursos dos participantes foram organizados de acordo com a análise temática, tendo sido identificados três temas: i) O despertar do interesse pelo universo da pornografia online; ii) As experiências de consumo de pornografia online; iii) A pornografia online e a dinâmica conjugal.
Os resultados apurados sugerem percursos de entrada no universo da pornografia online motivados principalmente pela curiosidade, procura por aprendizagem sexual e influência dos pares. Como principais motivações de consumo destacam-se: a busca intencional de prazer, necessidade de suprir uma carência emocional, a procura de uma substituição na ausência do/a parceiro/a, o estímulo da fantasia, a busca por aprendizagem e o relaxamento. Sugerem ainda uma avaliação maioritariamente positiva acerca do consumo destes conteúdos de forma individual e conjugal, que incluíram aspetos como o autoconhecimento, aumento da gratificação sexual, a quebra da monotonia conjugal, o aumento da comunicação e intimidade conjugais. Foram também identificadas dificuldades e aspetos menos positivos como o risco da criação de um vício e criação de expectativas irrealistas.
This qualitative study explores and describes the experiences of online pornography consumption by Portuguese young adults involved in a romantic relationship. Online semi-structured interviews were conducted with 10 people aged between 19 and 44 years old. The participants' speeches were organized according to thematic analysis, and three themes were identified: i) The awakening of interest in the universe of online pornography; ii) The experiences of online pornography consumption; iii) Online pornography and marital dynamics. The results suggest entry pathways into the universe of online pornography motivated mainly by curiosity, search for sexual learning and peer influence. The main motivations for consumption are: the intentional search for pleasure, the need to fulfill an emotional need, the search for a replacement in the absence of a partner, the stimulation of fantasy, the search for learning and relaxation. They also suggest a mostly positive evaluation about the consumption of this content individually and conjugally, which included aspects such as self-knowledge, increased sexual gratification, breaking marital monotony, increased marital communication and intimacy. Difficulties and less positive aspects were also identified, such as the risk of creating an addiction and the creation of unrealistic expectations.
