Abstract(s)

The dysfunction should be studied as a whole, in its dental, muscular and postural components. Oral breathing is a deviation from the normal growth and development of the child that can have harmful consequences in the long term. The treatment should be a multidisciplinary approach, in which the Dentist, Otorhinolaryngologist, Speech Therapist and Pediatrician can collaborate in the replacement of normal respiratory function.
