Este trabalho revisou a literatura ligada a extrusão ortodôntica com finalidade de ganho ósseo e gengival para colocação de implantes, no qual foram abordados considerações biológicas, reações teciduais, indicações, contraindicações e técnicas empregadas para tal finalidade.
Esta tem por objetivo melhorar a estabilidade primária dos implantes, preservar a altura alveolar e interdental do osso e aumentar a quantidade de gengiva inserida.
A extrusão ortodôntica é uma técnica considerada relativamente simples, acessível e benéfica para pacientes que desejam manter um dente, bem como, preservar ou regenerar a altura da crista óssea, porém alguns cuidados básicos devem ser tomados para melhor finalização do caso.
This work reviewed the literature related to orthodontic extrusion for bone and gingival gain for implant placement, in which biological considerations, tissue reactions, indications, contraindications and techniques used for this purpose were discussed. The aim is to improve the primary stability of the implants, preserve the alveolar and interdental height of the bone and increase the amount of inserted gingiva. Forced orthodontic extrusion is a relatively simple, accessible and beneficial technique for patients who wish to have a tooth as well as preserving or regenerating bone crest height, but some basic care should be taken to better finalize the case.
