Abstract(s)
Metodologia: A pesquisa foi realizada em 4 bases de dados Pubmed, PEDro, Web of Science e Cochrane, em português e inglês e espanhol, no sentido de encontrar artigos randomizados controlados, utilizando a combinação de palavras-chave: ("physical therapy" OR Physiotherapy OR rehabilitation) AND ("Groin pain" OR "gilmore´s groin" OR "groin injur* " OR "Athletic Pubalgia" OR "sports hernia") AND athletes.
Objective: To clarify and summarize the evidence about the evolution of physiotherapeutic treatment on pain, strength and time to return to physical activity in athletes with groin pain. Methodology: The search was carried out in 4 Pubmed, PEDro, Web of Science and Cochrane databases, in Portuguese, English and Spanish, in order to find randomized controlled articles, using a combination of keywords: ("physiotherapy" OR Physiotherapy OR rehabilitation) AND ("Groin pain" OR "Gilmore groin" OR "groin strain* " OR "Athletic pubic pain" OR "sports hernia") AND athletes. In the PEDRo database, the adapted search expression was used: "groin pain" and athletes. The methodological quality of the studies was assessed using the PEDro scale. Results: 5 articles that met the eligibility criteria were included, with a total of 504 participants and an arithmetic mean of 6.4/10 on the PEDRo scale. Conclusion: It was found that an active exercise rehabilitation program associated with conventional physiotherapy seems to have a positive effect on pain, strength and reduction of time to return to activity, compared only with conventional physiotherapy.
