ViolĂȘncia contra a comunidade LGBTi no meio social e escolar

| dc.description.abstract | Quando abordamos o tema da comunidade LGBTi sĂŁo poucos os estudos existentes em Portugal que se centram na violĂȘncia perpetuada contra pessoas e jovens LGBTi. O objetivo deste projeto Ă© apresentar uma reflexĂŁo acerca da violĂȘncia contra a pessoas LGBTi aos nĂveis social e escolar. Pretende-se perceber de que modo esta violĂȘncia Ă© exercida nĂŁo sĂł contra pessoas LGBTi mas tambĂ©m dentro da prĂłpria comunidade uma vez que existe violĂȘncia domĂ©stica em casais homossexuais contribuindo assim para a prevenção e/ou intervenção destes tipos de violĂȘncia. No contexto teĂłrico, quanto Ă metodologia utilizada, foi realizada uma revisĂŁo da literatura sobre o bullying em geral, o bullying praticado contra pessoas homossexuais e o bullying exercido contra pessoas transexuais. Para completar o Ășltimo tema, serĂĄ descrito um caso de uma mulher transexual que foi assassinada na cidade do Porto. ApĂłs a descrição do caso, serĂĄ abordado o tema da violĂȘncia domĂ©stica em casais homossexuais uma vez que Ă© raramente abordado e Ă© um assunto de extrema importĂąncia. Para concluir a fundamentação teĂłrica irei dar a conhecer algumas instituiçÔes de apoio que trabalham socialmente as questĂ”es da orientação sexual e identidade de gĂ©nero. Algumas das instituiçÔes que irei apresentar nĂŁo trabalham especificamente questĂ”es LGBTi mas sĂŁo importantes referi-las visto que trabalham as questĂ”es da igualdade de gĂ©nero e a violĂȘncia domĂ©stica. No contexto empĂrico, Ă© proposto a realização de uma ação de sensibilização nas escolas que abordem os temas apresentados neste projeto. Pretende-se que os alunos tenham conhecimento desta realidade e destes comportamentos contra os jovens LGBTi alertando para a importĂąncia da intervenção da escola, dos pais e do grupo de pares nestas situaçÔes. Quanto aos resultados encontrados, evidenciou-se que a violĂȘncia contra pessoas LGBTi Ă© exercida nĂŁo sĂł por pessoas heterossexuais, mas tambĂ©m por pessoas pertencentes a esta comunidade, uma vez que existe violĂȘncia domĂ©stica em casais homossexuais. Este projeto, contribuirĂĄ assim para que no futuro, existam estudos cada vez mais centrados nesta temĂĄtica visto que atualmente, no nosso paĂs, poucos sĂŁo aqueles que se centram na violĂȘncia contra a comunidade LGBTi e na violĂȘncia domĂ©stica em casais homossexuais. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | When we talk about the theme of the LGBTi community there are few existing studies in Portugal that focus on violence perpetuated against LGBTi people. The goal of this project is to present a reflection about violence against LGBTi people to social and school levels. The aim is to understand how such violence is exerted not only against LGBTi people but also within the community itself since there is domestic violence in homosexual couples thereby contributing to the prevention and/or intervention of these types of violence. In the theoretical context, regarding methodology, a review of the literature on bullying in general, bullying practiced against gay people and bullying exercised against transgendered people. To complete the last theme, will be described in a case of a transsexual woman who was murdered in the city of Porto. After the description of the case, will be addressed the topic of domestic violence in homosexual couples since it is rarely discussed and is a matter of the utmost importance. To complete the theoretical foundation will provide some supporting institutions that work socially issues of sexual orientation and gender identity. Some of the institutions that will present not work specifically LGBTi issues but are important mention them since they work the issues of gender equality and domestic violence. The empirical context, it is proposed to conduct an awareness-raising action in schools to address the issues presented in this project. It is intended that the students are aware of this reality and these behaviors against the LGBTi youth alerting to the importance of the intervention of the school, parents and peer group in these situations. As for the results, showed that violence against LGBTi people is exercised not only by heterosexual people, but also by persons belonging to this community, since there is domestic violence in homosexual couples. This project will contribute to in the future, there are more and more studies focusing on this theme since currently, in our country, few are those that focus on violence against LGBTi community and domestic violence in homosexual couples. | pt_PT |
